Inducing Lindy!

SO since we are not going to have a "traditional" hospital birth- there is not an option of "inducing" early.  In this 39th week I'm really wishing that we could call "hotel" Balyor Frisco  and make a reservation....  We induced with Allie at 39 weeks and had a really nice experience at the hospital.  Flat screen tv's, hardwood floors, yummy food- steak & lobster dinner- hmmm it was a great experience.  You may wonder if it was so great why not do that again?  Well the cost is 3x's more to have a hospital birth than a birthing center birth. And since our insurance is not on a "group" plan- it does not cover Maternity.  Sooo this baby is coming out of pocket.  We have insurance that covers "the major what iffs" but not a natural delivery.

So since we are not going the posh route- we are left to wait for Lindy to come on her own. But maybe there are a few things we can do to help speed up her arrival date... SO here is what we have tried so far to help us to speed things up...

- walking- though not very far for very long-(hurts to walk!!)  may lengthen the walks this week
- acupuncture- we tried this at 37 weeks, it may have been too early! (may try next week if she still isn't here)
- eating pineapples
-eating eggplant parmigiana
-drinking red raspberry leaf tea (even if it doesn't "start" labor it is supposed to strengthen the uterus)
- sex
-swinging on a swing
-squats- I was recommended doing 30 to 50 a day... ha I'm happy to get 5 or so a day...
-evening primrose oil
-a glass of wine- gonna try that tonight... I had a little of a friend's margarita the other night to see if it would help- and didn't have much luck-
-nipple stimulation with the breast pump- kinda scared to try this one
-Castor oil- not going to try this one (yet?)

I know deep down that she will come when she is ready. But we are ready now!! :) so hurry up little one!!
