Easter festivities!!

We sure thought we would have Lindy here by now!! We are doing our best to be patient!! In the mean time Easter is just a few days away. Last weekend the neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was crazy to see all the kids and parents who showed up. There was also a train, bounce house & a petting zoo. Allie was so cute with the animals and wanted to pick them all up.  This week at Allies mdo they also had an Easter egg hunt.
Allie checking her bag for goodies!

So this is what a 2-3 year old easter egg hunt looks like!  It was all hording parents- if you let your child go on his/ her own- you can't even see them- too many parents in the way!!

Here are a few pictures from the little petting zoo- (sorry for all the sideways pictures)

Inducing Lindy!

SO since we are not going to have a "traditional" hospital birth- there is not an option of "inducing" early.  In this 39th week I'm really wishing that we could call "hotel" Balyor Frisco  and make a reservation....  We induced with Allie at 39 weeks and had a really nice experience at the hospital.  Flat screen tv's, hardwood floors, yummy food- steak & lobster dinner- hmmm it was a great experience.  You may wonder if it was so great why not do that again?  Well the cost is 3x's more to have a hospital birth than a birthing center birth. And since our insurance is not on a "group" plan- it does not cover Maternity.  Sooo this baby is coming out of pocket.  We have insurance that covers "the major what iffs" but not a natural delivery.

So since we are not going the posh route- we are left to wait for Lindy to come on her own. But maybe there are a few things we can do to help speed up her arrival date... SO here is what we have tried so far to help us to speed things up...

- walking- though not very far for very long-(hurts to walk!!)  may lengthen the walks this week
- acupuncture- we tried this at 37 weeks, it may have been too early! (may try next week if she still isn't here)
- eating pineapples
-eating eggplant parmigiana
-drinking red raspberry leaf tea (even if it doesn't "start" labor it is supposed to strengthen the uterus)
- sex
-swinging on a swing
-squats- I was recommended doing 30 to 50 a day... ha I'm happy to get 5 or so a day...
-evening primrose oil
-a glass of wine- gonna try that tonight... I had a little of a friend's margarita the other night to see if it would help- and didn't have much luck-
-nipple stimulation with the breast pump- kinda scared to try this one
-Castor oil- not going to try this one (yet?)

I know deep down that she will come when she is ready. But we are ready now!! :) so hurry up little one!!

A letter to Lindy

Dear Lindy,

I am now 1 week and 6 days till my due date.  I thought that you may have already come by now- and I can feel you growing and getting stronger in my tummy every day.  I am starting to wake up each day and wonder if today will be your birthday!  I am so excited to meet you and learn all about you.  This pregnancy hasn't been very easy on me and I have been quite a grumpy grump!  I hope that that goes away when I'm not pregnant- bc I'm not really sure who this person is!  We have prepared such a cute little room for you and your big sister is so excited for you to get here! She is practicing with her baby dolls every day!  She will be such a great helper!   I know you are gonna love her so much!  I can't wait to watch you two play together and grow up as friends. Your daddy is so excited to meet you as well.  He can't wait to have another little girl!   Allie loves him so much and I'm sure you will too- can I be your favorite though?   I am nervous, excited and so scared about your arrival!  I am ready to have you in my arms- and see your sweet face and kiss your little lips!  I am so scared about your delivery! I am going to do my best to bring you into this world naturally!  But I am scared and worried about how that is going to go! I hope and pray that we have a quick labor & delivery and that you come out healthy and with no complications.  I hope that the delivery process is one that will bring us a special bond between you, me and your daddy!  I am so excited and anxious about what our new lives look like as a family of 4.  We love you so much already, and are ready for you to get here- so go ahead- come on out when you are ready!  You are already so loved!

Love,
Mommy

A Sprinkle for Lindy!

Here  are some of the pictures of my sprinkle my sweet friends put together for Lindy!!  A sprinkle is just a smaller version of a shower- since you don't usually need much on your second baby!!

We had the Sprinkle at La Madeline- the room was so nice- and the girls did a great job decorating!

Here is a picture of me & the Cake- My momma made it for me- it was yummy & pretty too!!

My Best friends, and the Hostesses of the shower!!

Lindy got so many cute clothes and diapers - she is one very well stocked little girl!!

Here is a group picture from the shower!  I'm so blessed to have so many great friends who care so much about me and little Lindy!
