Inducing Lindy!

SO since we are not going to have a "traditional" hospital birth- there is not an option of "inducing" early.  In this 39th week I'm really wishing that we could call "hotel" Balyor Frisco  and make a reservation....  We induced with Allie at 39 weeks and had a really nice experience at the hospital.  Flat screen tv's, hardwood floors, yummy food- steak & lobster dinner- hmmm it was a great experience.  You may wonder if it was so great why not do that again?  Well the cost is 3x's more to have a hospital birth than a birthing center birth. And since our insurance is not on a "group" plan- it does not cover Maternity.  Sooo this baby is coming out of pocket.  We have insurance that covers "the major what iffs" but not a natural delivery.

So since we are not going the posh route- we are left to wait for Lindy to come on her own. But maybe there are a few things we can do to help speed up her arrival date... SO here is what we have tried so far to help us to speed things up...

- walking- though not very far for very long-(hurts to walk!!)  may lengthen the walks this week
- acupuncture- we tried this at 37 weeks, it may have been too early! (may try next week if she still isn't here)
- eating pineapples
-eating eggplant parmigiana
-drinking red raspberry leaf tea (even if it doesn't "start" labor it is supposed to strengthen the uterus)
- sex
-swinging on a swing
-squats- I was recommended doing 30 to 50 a day... ha I'm happy to get 5 or so a day...
-evening primrose oil
-a glass of wine- gonna try that tonight... I had a little of a friend's margarita the other night to see if it would help- and didn't have much luck-
-nipple stimulation with the breast pump- kinda scared to try this one
-Castor oil- not going to try this one (yet?)

I know deep down that she will come when she is ready. But we are ready now!! :) so hurry up little one!!

A letter to Lindy

Dear Lindy,

I am now 1 week and 6 days till my due date.  I thought that you may have already come by now- and I can feel you growing and getting stronger in my tummy every day.  I am starting to wake up each day and wonder if today will be your birthday!  I am so excited to meet you and learn all about you.  This pregnancy hasn't been very easy on me and I have been quite a grumpy grump!  I hope that that goes away when I'm not pregnant- bc I'm not really sure who this person is!  We have prepared such a cute little room for you and your big sister is so excited for you to get here! She is practicing with her baby dolls every day!  She will be such a great helper!   I know you are gonna love her so much!  I can't wait to watch you two play together and grow up as friends. Your daddy is so excited to meet you as well.  He can't wait to have another little girl!   Allie loves him so much and I'm sure you will too- can I be your favorite though?   I am nervous, excited and so scared about your arrival!  I am ready to have you in my arms- and see your sweet face and kiss your little lips!  I am so scared about your delivery! I am going to do my best to bring you into this world naturally!  But I am scared and worried about how that is going to go! I hope and pray that we have a quick labor & delivery and that you come out healthy and with no complications.  I hope that the delivery process is one that will bring us a special bond between you, me and your daddy!  I am so excited and anxious about what our new lives look like as a family of 4.  We love you so much already, and are ready for you to get here- so go ahead- come on out when you are ready!  You are already so loved!

Love,
Mommy

A Sprinkle for Lindy!

Here  are some of the pictures of my sprinkle my sweet friends put together for Lindy!!  A sprinkle is just a smaller version of a shower- since you don't usually need much on your second baby!!

We had the Sprinkle at La Madeline- the room was so nice- and the girls did a great job decorating!

Here is a picture of me & the Cake- My momma made it for me- it was yummy & pretty too!!

My Best friends, and the Hostesses of the shower!!

Lindy got so many cute clothes and diapers - she is one very well stocked little girl!!

Here is a group picture from the shower!  I'm so blessed to have so many great friends who care so much about me and little Lindy!

Our 3d sonogram, and anniversary trip!

Friday we had such a busy afternoon. We rescheduled our 3D sonogram- since we weren't able to get any good pictures of Lindy since she was Breech. On Tuesday I had a Midwife apt and she was still breech, after that apt I went to the chiropractor for the first time... they said once my hips were better aligned that it would be easy for the baby to turn into place... I guess they were right!! Thursday night I took a warm bath- and she flipped for us! Friday I felt little feet in my side instead of a head & shoulders! Here are some cute pictures from the sonogram!

We think she's gonna be a little chubster...  she has her daddy's chins! :)

This was a cute little yawn we saw on the video- we also saw her open and close her eyes!

Look at those ROUND cheeks!!

And she's smart too! She can already count!!

After the sonogram, Allie left with Grandma abby/betty (karen) for a sleep over and Kelsey & I headed to Fort Worth for a little Stay-cation! We got a hotel room at the Sheraton, and went out for a really nice dinner at the Reata- in downtown FW!

Our waiter suggested Pickle Martini's- soo yummy!  Especially for this Preggers! :)

I wish the picture turned out better- this is us at dinner...

Our special Anniversary desert!  YUMMY!

After dinner we were pretty wiped out so we headed back to the hotel!  On the way we picked up 7 lottery tickets one for each year of marriage, and as we scratched them, we each shared our favorite memories from the past 7 years!  I was happy to know how many of those favorites were in BOTH of our list!  Good times!  I'm one lucky girl!!

Happy Anniversary!! I can't believe its been 7 YEARS!!

"Lucky"
 Jason Maraz & Colbie Caillat
Do you hear me,
I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss

I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday...

Kelsey, thank you for the most amazing 7 (9) years of my life.  I am so blessed by our life together and the love that we share for one another... You are an amazing Husband, Father, Friend.  My world is so much better because you are in it!  I Love You, Only You- Forever You!!

Happy Valentine's day!!

Happy Valentines Day!  We had a great day- and Allie will have her 2 parties for her MDO class.  One today & one for her Wednesday class!  We made cute little owl cookies for the class on Tue & gave them wrapped up as a valentine for the Wed. Class!

Ms Jenny's cookie bouquet!! Perfect- her class is the "owls"!

So I know the picutre turned out sideways- but it was one of the cutest pictures I got all day!
(she's into silly poses and looks goofy in most pictures lately! )

Oh and a update on baby Lindy- I am 33 weeks along- and feeling VERY pregnant these days.  I had my friend take some maternity pictures, I'll try to post those as I get them back- The nursery is almost done- just waiting on a few finishing touches!  My friends are throwing me a "sprinkle" in a few weeks- A sprinkle is a smaller shower for your 2nd baby... I'm excited about that!  We went last week to try to get a sneak peak of her in a 3d sonogram, and we were unsuccessful!!  I'll have to go back in a week or 2 and try to get a better look at her... She is frank breech- which means that she is upside down and backwards.... so we need her to TURN head down before we can accomplish our "natural" child birth- or it will be a c-section for me!! (she still has plenty of time to move) Allie moved back and forth 2x's this late in the game in my last pregnancy... I do have plans to visit the chiropractor next week to help make sure my body is in "alignment" maybe that will help her to move as well! :)

A little princess..

Friday I  decided to take advantage of a rainy afternoon and take Allie to see Beauty and the Beast. We went with our friends Maggie and Alyssa. Maggie and Allie dressed up like little princesses!! Everyone at the theater ohhed and ahhed over how cute the girls were! I'm really trying to take advantage of our mommy daughter moments before Lindy gets here. We have about 6-7 weeks to go.  The nursery is almost finished pictures coming soon!!!
